​A BIT OF HISTORY.....
Thai massage originated from India, where medicine was a key concept associated with the religious movement now known as Buddhism.

The famous Indian doctor Dr.Shivago Komarpaj who was the personal doctor of the Buddha and the monks is viewed as the "father of medicine" and was said to be one of the earliest practitioners of thai massage.
​
Medicine evolved with the Sangha and Buddhist monastery and became codified as part of the Buddhist scriptures - giving rise to the monk-healers. Throughout the centuries, the monks used massage as a medicinal practice.
Generations of experience and knowledge has been learnt and passed down, making massage one of the four principal components of traditional medicine along with nutrition, herbal medicine and spiritual practice.
